10 Month Update

Ugh- 10 months! How has it been 10 months? Although he is still in the 75th percentile in weight, Liam has only gained a pound in the last 2 months (21 lbs. 9 ozs.). This is probably due to the fact that he still gives me a hard time with food and the fact that he is just at the age where the growing seems to slow down a bit. He is in the 90th percentile for height at 30 inches. 

 

As far as I know, he has 8 teeth. He doesn't really let me check without trying to bite off one of my fingers. He has started to side step while holding onto the couch and just this past weekend started standing up without the support of anything around him. He thinks this new development is hilarious. I give him another month before he starts taking steps. On a "too much information" note, he is obsessed with his man bits. Every time the diaper comes off, the hands go down. I just hope this doesn't foreshadow any future playboyish behavior. ;)

He has also learnt the art of manipulation. In actuality, he's not very good at it at all. It seems really obvious when he is faking it to get what he wants. He gives that whiny cry while his eyes are fixed on you to see what reaction he is getting. My favorite is when he squints his eyes together in dispair only to break out into a smile a second later. DRAMATIC.... but he still usually gets his way!
