NC Trip- Recap

We have been home for a couple of days now. The trip was mostly a success. I think we have decided on moving into an apartment that is just outside of downtown. We wanted to stay away from apartment living, but we don't know what kind of income we will be taking in when we get there so we thought it best to start out small and take it from there. As far as apartments go, these are pretty nice. They have all wooden floors and lots of grassy areas where kids can roam. And just so you can see the difference between NC and FL- a two bedroom and one bath apartment with all water and trash/ sewage included is $750. And we are talking about an ideal area- equally close to downtown, several types of grocery stores, and the bird sanctuary (where you can find some trails). We are nervous, but mostly really excited. We love the overall lifestyle and attitude that comes with Asheville. There seems to be a lot more respect for the environment and each other. And we love that we will get to participate in changing seasons. The only decision we have to make now is when. That is mostly dependent on money- so tonight is a pow wow where we see what we have and what we need. Then we decide when it happens.
